Andrea Mathews is an Author, a Psychotherapist, a Corporate Trainer and Motivational/Inspirational Speaker and the Host of the very popular radio show called Authentic Living. With 30 years' experience in the mental health field, the last 15 in a thriving private practice, Mathews provides both Transpersonal and Cognitive therapy for a variety of issues and diagnoses. She provides relationship counseling--for the married, the living together and the alternative relationship. She provides family therapy for a variety of issues and works with children only in the context of family therapy. Mathews is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Counseling Supervisor, and a National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Approved Provider of Continuing Education.
Mathews is the author of two books, "Restoring My Soul: A Workbook for Finding and Living the Authentic Self" (2007, iUniverse), and "The Law Of Attraction: The Soul's Answer To Why It Isn't Working And How It Can" (2011, O-Books). She has authored several magazine articles, has won several awards for her poetry and has served as the Editor of two small literary presses. Currently Mathews writes a blog for Psychology Today Magazine called "Traversing the Inner Terrain."
For almost four years now, Mathews has hosted the very popular radio show, Authentic Living, on VoiceAmerica. Sponsored by such prestigious organizations as the Institute for Noetic Sciences, the American Institute for Holistic Theology, Spirituality and Health Magazine and New York's Open Center, the show's aim is to offer listeners an opportunity to explore and come to know the authentic self.
